Lenovo has increased the US list prices of several Android tablets for the second time in less than five months, affecting affordability but not yet impacting sales growth, as the company quietly shifts its pricing strategy amid ongoing market competition.
Lenovo has raised the US list prices of several Android tablets for the second time in less than five months, extending a pattern that has already made some of its more affordable models noticeably less attractive. On Lenovo’s official US site, the Idea Tab with 4GB of RAM now costs $239.99, up from $229.99; the 8GB version has moved from $289.99 to $309.99; the Idea Tab Plus has risen from $329.99 to $359.99; and the Idea Tab Pro is now listed at $439.99, compared with $419.99 before.
The increases follow an earlier round of hikes that also affected Lenovo’s Android tablet range in the United States, including the Idea Tab family and other models such as the Yoga Tab line. PhoneArena noted at the time that the changes were made quietly on Lenovo’s website, rather than through a broader launch announcement, which has made the pricing shifts easier for consumers to miss.
Even so, Lenovo’s tablet business has not been weakening. According to PhoneArena’s reporting on the latest shipment data, Lenovo was the only one of the world’s five biggest tablet vendors to post year-on-year shipment growth in the second quarter of 2026. That suggests the company’s pricing strategy has not yet damaged demand in a material way, even as it narrows the value gap on models that once stood out largely on price.
For buyers, the immediate picture is mixed. The revised list prices make the Idea Tab range harder to recommend at full price, but PhoneArena also reported that several of these tablets are still being sold at discounts that restore much of their appeal. The Idea Tab Pro, for example, has recently been advertised with a substantial markdown, while the Idea Tab Plus has also appeared in promoted deals that improve the value proposition.
