Lenovo India reports an 18% year-on-year revenue increase in Q1, driven by rising demand for AI-enabled products and integrated systems, marking a strong start to FY2026-27 amid global AI infrastructure expansion.
Lenovo India said on Thursday that revenue rose 18% year-on-year in the quarter ended June 30, as demand increased for products and services built around artificial intelligence. The company did not publish a rupee or dollar figure for its India business, but said the result marked a strong start to FY2026-27 and reflected demand for integrated offerings that combine devices, infrastructure, software and services.
Shailendra Katyal, Lenovo India’s vice-president and managing director, said the company was benefiting from what he described as a shift in customer buying patterns, with more buyers looking beyond single products towards bundled systems. He said Lenovo’s hybrid AI approach gave it an advantage because it connects personal AI and enterprise AI with the wider supply chain and service network.
The India update comes after a stronger set of global results from Lenovo Group, which reported its highest quarterly revenue growth in five years and adjusted net income of $1.1 billion, up 176% year-on-year. Group revenue reached $26.9 billion, while AI-related sales climbed 60% to $9.3 billion and accounted for 35% of turnover. The Infrastructure Solutions Group nearly doubled revenue to $8.5 billion and the company said its AI server pipeline rose to $54 billion, underscoring how quickly demand for AI infrastructure is expanding.
Lenovo’s broader performance has been improving through the year. In the previous quarter, AI-related revenue accounted for 30% of group sales, according to the company, and earlier fiscal-year results showed continued gains across PCs, infrastructure and services. In India, that momentum has also been visible in the company’s annual performance: The Economic Times reported that Lenovo India grew revenue 23% in FY2025-26 to about $4.18 billion, helped by stronger enterprise demand and an AI-led push across its business.
