Motorola makes notable comeback in Pakistan with premium Moto G77 5G launch

Motorola has returned to Pakistan with a local distribution deal, launching the Moto G77 5G, its first device in the market in years, featuring a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, 108MP camera, and 5G support, signalling a strategic reset for the brand.

Motorola has returned to Pakistan through a local distribution deal with CoreTech, and the first devices now on sale include the Moto G77 5G, a mid-range handset pitched on display quality, camera hardware and 5G support. The launch marks a notable reset for the brand in a market where official distribution can shape both availability and warranty support.

The phone centres on a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colour support. Motorola says the panel covers the full DCI-P3 gamut and reaches up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, while Gorilla Glass 7i, Water Touch support, an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H durability certification are intended to improve resilience. The handset measures 164.18mm by 77.37mm by 7.33mm, weighs 182 grams and is offered in Pantone Black Olive and Pantone Shaded Spruce.

Inside, the Moto G77 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chip built on a 6nm process, paired in Pakistan with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. According to Motorola’s local listing and accompanying launch material, RAM Boost can expand usable memory to 24GB and storage can be increased by up to 2TB with a microSD card. The phone also runs Motorola’s current Android build, includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and supports an in-screen fingerprint reader, according to preview material cited in the launch coverage.

Camera specifications are led by a 108MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, 9-in-1 pixel binning and 3x lossless zoom. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front camera, with 2K video recording available on the rear main and ultrawide cameras as well as on the selfie shooter. A 5,200mAh battery powers the device, backed by 30W wired charging. The 8GB and 256GB model is priced at Rs. 92,999 in Pakistan and comes with an official brand warranty.
