Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis reveals the company’s ambitious plan to significantly expand its smartphone range in 2027, including the launch of at least six new devices amidst strategic growth in India and potential wearables development.
Nothing is preparing to widen its smartphone range sharply, with co-founder Akis Evangelidis telling Times Now Tech that the company expects to launch twice as many phones in 2027 as it did in 2026. That would mean at least six new handsets, a notable step-up for a brand that has built its identity on a relatively focused line-up rather than a crowded product calendar.
The expansion already appears to be under way. Two unannounced Nothing devices, carrying the model numbers A006 and A010, have surfaced in the IMEI database, according to reporting first highlighted by PassionateGeekz and picked up by other tech outlets. No product names or specifications have emerged, but the listings suggest the company is laying groundwork for early 2027 launches.
Evangelidis said Nothing launched three smartphones in 2026 , the Phone 4a, Phone 4a Pro and Phone 4b , and wants a broader range next year. T3 reported that the move comes as supply constraints around RAM and other components have eased, giving Nothing more room to expand its portfolio. The company has also signalled that its approach will remain selective rather than formulaic, after delaying a flagship release this year.
That strategy is already visible in the wider product plan. TechRadar reported that Nothing will not launch the Phone 4 in 2026, with chief executive Carl Pei saying the company wants upgrades to feel meaningful rather than routine. At the same time, Nothing continues to push mid-range devices and related products, including the CMF Clip Pro open earbuds due later this month, according to T3.
India is central to the next phase of that growth. Nothing plans to open two more exclusive stores there by the first quarter of 2027, with Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad under consideration, and it expects to decide the locations by the end of September. The company is also expanding local manufacturing, especially for audio products, and has already begun making some CMF devices in the country. The broader push comes as Nothing strengthens its position in India’s competitive smartphone market while also preparing for possible wearables expansion, with Bloomberg-linked reporting in April suggesting the company is exploring AI smart glasses for 2027.
