Nvidia to launch Windows PCs with RTX Spark platform in October, accelerating local AI and gaming convergence

Nvidia announces the upcoming release of Windows PCs powered by its RTX Spark platform, aiming to bring advanced AI capabilities and gaming performance into portable, high-performance devices from leading manufacturers such as Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, MSI, and Microsoft in October.

Nvidia says the first Windows PCs built around its RTX Spark platform will ship in October, marking a push to bring more AI work onto local machines rather than remote servers. The company is positioning the systems as compact devices that can handle agentic AI tasks, gaming and creative workloads from the same hardware. According to Nvidia, the platform pairs a 1-petaflop RTX Blackwell GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory.

The launch is taking shape through a wide group of PC makers. Lenovo has shown the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1, while Acer has displayed a small desktop design. Tom’s Hardware reported that Nvidia said six other original equipment manufacturers are also preparing RTX Spark systems for October, including names such as Asus, Dell, HP, MSI and Microsoft. The move is notable because it brings Nvidia into Windows on Arm hardware with a chip designed around a unified memory model similar to Apple’s M-series systems.

Lenovo’s models illustrate how Nvidia is targeting both performance and portability. The company’s Yoga Pro 9n is a 15.3-inch clamshell laptop with up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory, up to 4TB of SSD storage and an OLED screen that can refresh at up to 165Hz, according to details published by Tom’s Hardware. The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 is aimed more at creators, with stylus support and a convertible design. TechRadar said the larger-memory configurations are intended to appeal to professionals who want to run local AI models and keep data on the device.

Nvidia is also pairing the hardware launch with software changes. At IFA 2026, the company said tools such as Hermes Agent, OpenClaw and Perplexity Portable Computer will be easier to set up for local model use on Windows. It has also updated llama.cpp and vLLM, claiming that llama.cpp can run up to 1.9 times faster on the GeForce RTX 5090. Those improvements are available directly and through applications including LM Studio and Ollama.

The company also introduced Personal AI Router, or PAIR, a free open-source system for sending inference requests across compatible computers on the same local network. Nvidia said the beta supports Windows, macOS and Linux, as well as GeForce RTX 20 Series and newer graphics cards, RTX PRO workstation GPUs, DGX Spark systems and Apple M4 or later machines. Game publishers including Electronic Arts, Embark and Ubisoft have also said they support the platform, underlining Nvidia’s effort to make RTX Spark useful beyond the AI lab.
