Realme advances budget P4 series with India certification hints at new P4s Lite model

Realme moves forward with its P4 smartphone line, as the new P4s Lite secures certification in India, signalling upcoming release of an affordable, durable device aimed at price-conscious consumers.

Realme is preparing another addition to its P4 smartphone line, and the first sign of the device has now appeared in India’s regulatory system. A handset believed to be the Realme P4s Lite has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards under the model number RMX5398, a routine but necessary step before a phone can go on sale in the country. The listing does not disclose technical details, but it does strongly indicate that launch plans are moving forward.

At this stage, the P4s Lite appears set to sit below the rest of the family as a budget model. A previous leak suggested 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, with Moonlight Silver and Nebula Black said to be the planned colour options. Realme has not confirmed any of that, but the naming alone points to an entry-level device aimed at price-sensitive buyers.

That positioning would fit neatly beside the recently launched P4 Lite 4G, which Realme introduced in India as an inexpensive handset focused on battery life and durability. According to Realme’s own specifications, the phone uses a Unisoc T7250 chip, a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 4GB of RAM and a 6,300mAh battery. It also supports 15W charging, 6W reverse wired charging, dual 4G VoLTE and microSD expansion up to 2TB.

Realme has also leaned heavily on durability features in the P4 Lite 4G, including IP54 resistance and ArmorShell Protection, while the global product page says the device has passed more than 320 durability tests and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The company has paired that with a Pulse Light design that offers multiple colours and lighting modes, suggesting that Realme is trying to give its lower-cost phones a more distinctive identity rather than relying on specifications alone. If the P4s Lite follows the same playbook, it is likely to extend that formula further down the range.
