The Vivo T5e has launched in India and the Philippines as a budget-friendly device emphasising durability, a 90Hz display, and long battery life, appealing to users valuing endurance over high performance.
The vivo T5e has emerged as a new budget handset built around basic everyday use, with Philippine coverage following its official introduction on 28 July 2026 and Indian launch reports filling in most of the hardware detail. According to the published specification sheet and subsequent launch reports, the phone is positioned as an entry-level model rather than a performance-focused device. Its launch colours are Shadow Grey and Aero Blue.
On the front, the T5e uses a 6.74-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Several launch reports also say the display runs at 90Hz, which should make scrolling feel smoother than on standard 60Hz panels. Inside, vivo has paired a 12nm Unisoc T7225 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with Android 16 and OriginOS 6 handling the software side.
The camera system is similarly modest. The rear unit is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with LED flash and panorama support, while the front camera is a 5-megapixel sensor. Power comes from a 5,500mAh battery, and reports from India say the device supports 15W charging and reverse charging. Pricing in India has been set at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB and 64GB version, which works out to about $146 based on the figures carried by launch coverage. The T5e is also reported to support microSD expansion of up to 2TB, alongside dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, FM radio, USB Type-C and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. At 199 grams and 8.2mm thick, it sits squarely in the compact budget segment, where battery life and endurance tend to matter more than raw speed.
