Samsung has introduced a unified ‘Warranty and Care’ section in One UI 9 for Galaxy Z foldables, streamlining warranty checks, support bookings, and repair tracking in a single interface, enhancing user convenience and support accessibility.
Samsung has begun rolling out a new “Warranty and Care” section in One UI 9 on its latest Galaxy Z foldables, giving owners a single place to check coverage, book support and run repairs-related tools. According to Samsung, the feature is built for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, and is designed to pull together after-sales support that was previously spread across different menus and services.
The new section shows warranty status for the phone itself and, where linked to the same Samsung account, for compatible Galaxy Watches, Buds and tablets. It also lets users see whether they qualify for Samsung Care+ and, in some cases, sign up for additional protection from the same screen. That centralised approach follows earlier reports that Samsung was reshaping the area into a larger support hub with redesigned cards and clearer navigation.
Samsung has also added more practical troubleshooting tools. The menu includes diagnostics for key hardware, such as the battery, touch input, sensors and connectivity, while Bixby access is embedded for device-specific questions and basic support. Industry coverage of One UI 9 says the software also introduces a repair-tracking section, which can show appointment details, service-centre information and repair status as work progresses.
If a device needs servicing, the hub can be used to arrange an appointment with Samsung-authorised repair centres or request remote assistance without calling support. It also provides estimated out-of-warranty prices for major components, alongside projected costs under Samsung Care+. Samsung says availability may vary by region, and warranty details are shown only for devices registered to a Samsung account. In the US, that support layer is backed by a broad repair network, which Samsung-related reporting says includes more than 900 service locations.
