Samsung Music Studio 7 disrupts premium wireless speaker market with limited-time AU$300 discount

Samsung Australia slashes AU$300 from its Music Studio 7, a versatile mains-powered streaming speaker with Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, and room-filling sound capabilities, challenging established rivals amid a limited 48-hour sale.

Samsung’s Music Studio 7 is an unusual entrant in the wireless speaker market, but it is making a credible case for itself. Where many buyers would first think of Sonos, KEF or Apple, Samsung has built a mains-powered streaming speaker that is aimed at listeners who want simplicity, HDMI connectivity and home-cinema flexibility in one box. What makes the current offer notable is that Samsung Australia has cut AU$300 from the model for a limited 48-hour sale, bringing the price down to AU$449.40 with the code SECRETAUG.

The Music Studio 7 was unveiled at CES 2026 and launched in April alongside the smaller Music Studio 5. It comes from Samsung’s California Audio Lab and uses a minimalist design by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec. The speaker supports Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, optical input, Spotify and Tidal Connect, Roon, AirPlay 2 and Google Cast. Samsung also includes its AI Dynamic Bass Control and SpaceFit Sound Pro processing, while the company says the design is intended to create a wide, room-filling sound from a single unit or a stereo pair.

In review, What Hi-Fi? found the Music Studio 7 works best when used via HDMI and improves further when two units are grouped rather than simply paired. The publication also said SpaceFit Sound Pro made a clear difference to warmth and mid-bass balance, while the speaker’s Atmos presentation was more convincing in a stereo pair. TechSpot similarly judged two Studio 7s to be stronger than a single unit and, in some cases, a more persuasive alternative to a premium soundbar.

That makes the discount more meaningful than it first appears. At full price, the Music Studio 7 sits close to established rivals such as the Sonos Era 300, and above Apple’s HomePod 2 in some markets, so Samsung needed a sharper price to stand out. For buyers already using Samsung TVs or soundbars, the appeal is even clearer, because the speaker can double as part of a broader home entertainment system. The main caveat is that the offer is temporary: Samsung says the Secret Sale ends on Wednesday, 19 August, at 10am AEST.
