Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Y700 Infinite in China, a high-performance gaming tablet featuring an OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and advanced thermals, signalling a new focus on flagship power in a smaller form factor.
Lenovo has launched the Legion Y700 Infinite in China, extending its compact gaming tablet line with a model that pushes harder on raw performance than the earlier Legion Y700 5th Gen variants. Reports from Gizmochina and other outlets indicate the new tablet is aimed at users who want flagship-class speed in a smaller form factor, with China availability confirmed and no global launch date announced so far.
At the centre of the device is an 8.4-inch OLED panel with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Lenovo says the display can reach a local peak brightness of 4,000 nits and a touch sampling rate of up to 3,400Hz, figures that are clearly intended to appeal to mobile gamers. Power comes from a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in an overclocked or leading-edition configuration, with claims of AnTuTu scores reaching 4,585,844 points. Configurations go up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.
Lenovo has also focused on thermals. The company uses a 15,000mm² vapour chamber placed towards the middle of the chassis to spread heat more evenly, while keeping the tablet relatively slim at 6.5mm and about 298g. The battery is rated at 7,470mAh and supports 68W charging, with bypass charging included so users can play while plugged in without putting the battery under the same load. Other features include dual USB-C ports, DisplayPort support, X-axis linear motors, Dolby Atmos speakers and 5G with dual-SIM support.
Pricing in China starts at 4,999 yuan for the 12GB/256GB version, according to Gizmochina, although one local report listed a lower 4,999 yuan starting point while another mentioned 5,499 yuan. That said, the broader picture is clear: Lenovo is positioning the Legion Y700 Infinite above the earlier Y700 5th Gen models, which also used Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 silicon but paired it with an 8.8-inch LCD rather than an OLED panel.
