EZVIZ has expanded its New Zealand smart-home product line with an extensive range of cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, and smart screens, prioritising subscription-free operation and enhanced privacy features in its latest offerings.
EZVIZ has widened its New Zealand smart-home line-up with its most extensive local range yet, adding outdoor and indoor cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and a portable control screen. The company says the range is designed to work as a complete home security system or as separate products that can be added over time, all managed through its app.
A key theme is subscription-free use. EZVIZ says its Always-On Video technology is meant to reduce the common trade-off in battery cameras between constant monitoring and battery life. Rather than relying only on short motion-triggered clips, the system is intended to keep a continuous record of activity, with local storage available on several models.
The outdoor range is led by the HB90 Dual Kit, a dual-lens 3K camera available in battery and solar versions. EZVIZ says both lenses can move, giving the device a wider field of view than fixed dual-lens designs. It also includes AI-based human and vehicle detection, tracking, colour night vision, two-way audio, a siren and strobe light, plus Wi-Fi 6 support. The HB8 Lite offers a more compact pan-and-tilt alternative, with 360-degree coverage, auto-zoom tracking and support for up to 512GB of microSD storage.
At the front door, the EP8 Ultra combines a main 3K camera with a second downward-facing 1080p lens to cover both visitors and deliveries. EZVIZ says it can detect people, parcels and parcel removal, while an integrated screen allows two-way video calling at the door. The model also adds True WDR, privacy zones, colour night vision and a voice changer, with 32GB of built-in storage and compatibility with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Inside the home, the S10 Smart Video Calling Camera is pitched as both a security device and a family communications tool. It combines a 2K+ camera, touchscreen, call button, digital photo frame and Bluetooth speaker. It includes human and pet detection, baby-crying alerts, IR night vision and a physical privacy shutter.
The most ambitious product in the range is the DL50FVX Smart Lock, which brings together biometric access, video intercom functions and remote control. EZVIZ says it supports facial recognition, palm recognition, fingerprint entry, passcodes, Bluetooth keys, temporary codes and mechanical backup. The company says biometric data is handled locally. Completing the system is the SD7 Smart Screen, a 7-inch portable dashboard for live viewing, playback and control of compatible EZVIZ devices.
According to EZVIZ ANZ country manager Jock Jones, the aim is to offer sophisticated hardware without recurring fees, while giving users more control over privacy and device behaviour. The company says the new range is now available through Noel Leeming and Harvey Norman. Earlier EZVIZ product launches have also followed a similar pattern, with battery-powered cameras and broader ecosystem integration positioned as central parts of the brand’s strategy.
