OPPO has launched its Reno16 family in Russia, featuring three models that emphasise cutting-edge camera technology, substantial battery capacity, and innovative AI functionalities, with the Pro model leading in capabilities.
OPPO has brought its Reno16 family to Russia, with three models in the line-up: Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G. The launch centres on imaging, battery life and a set of AI functions aimed at content creation, especially on the Pro model, which OPPO positions as the most capable device in the series. According to OPPO’s own product pages, the family is built around a common design language, but the hardware stack differs sharply by model.
The Reno16 Pro 5G carries the strongest camera system. OPPO says it combines a 200-megapixel main camera with 2-axis OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto portrait camera with 3.5x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The front camera is also 50 megapixels, with a 100-degree field of view for wider self-portraits and vlogging. The Pro model and the standard Reno16 both use a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, while the Reno16 F steps up to a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel. OPPO’s specifications also list refresh rates of up to 144Hz on the Pro, and up to 120Hz on the other models.
The hardware split continues under the bonnet. OPPO says the Reno16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550, the Reno16 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and the Reno16 F relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300. The company also lists IP69K water and dust resistance for the Pro model, while the Russian announcement extends high-level protection across the range, alongside 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Battery sizes are large by current standards, with the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro both specified at 6,700mAh, and the Reno16 F at 7,000mAh.
OPPO is also leaning heavily on software features. The new AI Space shortcut button is intended to speed up saving screenshots and voice notes, while the gallery gains AI Remix Collage, which can separate people and objects from photos and videos and combine up to six elements into layered compositions. A Pop Cam mode adds camera-style filters such as instant film and vintage light-leak effects. In Russia, sales begin on 15 September, with promotional pricing running until 15 October. OPPO has set the Reno16 Pro 5G at 89,999 roubles for the 12GB+512GB version, the Reno16 5G at 54,999 roubles for 12GB+256GB, and the Reno16 F 5G at 46,999 roubles for 12GB+256GB.
