Chowmainsoft introduces a new Control4 driver for RISCO’s LightSYS+ platform, enhancing unified control over security, lighting, and entertainment systems for professional installations.
Chowmainsoft has added a Control4 driver for RISCO’s LightSYS+ hybrid security platform, extending the system’s reach into professionally installed smart home projects. The company said the integration is intended to let installers bring intrusion protection into the same environment as lighting, climate and entertainment, while preserving the security functions built into the RISCO platform. Industry coverage of Chowmainsoft’s recent work also shows the developer has been steadily widening Control4 compatibility across consumer and professional devices, including Google products and Sky’s streaming hardware.
LightSYS+ is pitched as a flexible alarm platform for both new builds and retrofit work. According to the product details, it supports up to 512 zones across wired, wireless and RISCO Bus devices, up to 500 users and as many as 196 outputs. It also includes onboard IP and WiFi connectivity, which makes it suitable for installations that need to combine existing infrastructure with automation and security in a single project. Chowmainsoft’s driver is designed to expose those functions through the Control4 interface rather than replacing the underlying security system.
The release sits alongside a wider run of Control4 integrations from Chowmainsoft. Residential Systems reported that the company has also launched a UniFi driver that brings recordings, live video, snapshots and PTZ control into Control4 touchscreens and apps. Elsewhere, Chowmainsoft has introduced a Hikvision door station driver that supports video calls, lock control and event feedback, showing a clear focus on devices that benefit from centralised control inside the home automation platform.
That pattern suggests the company is targeting installers who want fewer isolated subsystems and more unified control. Coverage from TechAeris and HiddenWires indicates Chowmainsoft has recently added native Google Home, Google Cast and Google TV support for Control4, while Inside CI reported a Sky Stream IP driver that reduces the need for infrared control in many installations. Taken together, the products point to a broader push to make Control4 a single interface for both entertainment and security hardware.
