Vivo launches the Buds Clip in China, a lightweight, clip-style open-ear earbud with advanced features including real-time translation, broad device connectivity, and integration with Vivo’s BlueOS ecosystem, signalling a strategic move into the evolving wireless audio market.
Vivo has launched the Buds Clip in China, entering the open-ear, clip-style earbuds segment with its first model in this form factor. The company is positioning the device around lightweight wear, with each earbud weighing 5.2g, and around broader ecosystem integration, including support for three-device connectivity and real-time translation on compatible Vivo and iQOO phones. According to Gadgets 360, the launch follows a teaser campaign that first outlined the design and colour options before the product went on sale.
The earbuds use a 12mm dual magnetic moving coil driver and support Hi-Res Audio Wireless with LDAC, alongside AAC, SBC and LC3 codec support. Vivo also says the Buds Clip include DeepX 5.0 stereo tuning, spatial audio and custom equaliser settings. For calls, the company is using bone-conduction-based AI noise reduction, while three listening profiles are available to tune output for different environments, including balanced, voice enhancement and noise reduction modes.
Vivo says the Buds Clip can deliver up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 42 hours with the case, with a 10-minute top-up claimed to provide as much as three hours of use. The earbuds also carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance and use a flexible titanium alloy bridge rather than in-ear tips, a design intended to improve stability and comfort during longer wear.
The Buds Clip are priced at CNY 599, or about Rs. 8,600, and are available in Floating Purple, Moonlight White and Starry Night Black. Vivo has also linked the earbuds to its BlueOS ecosystem, with features such as Find My Earbuds, intelligent volume adjustment and customisable pairing prompts on compatible devices. As with many ecosystem-focused accessories, some of the more advanced functions are limited to Vivo and iQOO hardware.
