Oppo has begun global rollout of the A7 Pro Max, featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery, water resistance, and high-end specifications, starting in Austria at €599 ahead of wider European availability.
Oppo has started taking the A7 Pro Max beyond China, with Austria among the first European markets to receive it. The phone is on pre-order there at €599, with Surfing Blue and Lunar Black finishes available and deliveries due to begin on 1 October. The move signals a broader international rollout for a device that is being positioned around endurance rather than slimness or flagship imaging.
The hardware reflects that approach. Oppo has fitted the handset with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen at 1272 x 2772 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, paired in Austria with 6GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Notebookcheck reported that the A7 Pro Max is the first Oppo phone to use a 10,000mAh battery, a specification that places it well above the capacity found in most mainstream rivals.
Charging is equally ambitious. Oppo says the battery supports 80W wired charging and 6.5W reverse wired charging, while other reports on the global model have referred to 27W reverse charging. The phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, underlining a focus on dust and water resistance that is rare in this class. Other features include dual-SIM support, eSIM compatibility, an under-display fingerprint reader and a configurable multicolour notification light on the rear.
Camera hardware is straightforward but capable on paper. Oppo has equipped the A7 Pro Max with a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 2-megapixel monochrome unit and a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. The handset runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16. In China, the device was initially listed from 2,199 yuan, according to Notebookcheck, suggesting Oppo is using different regional pricing and configurations as it expands sales outside its home market.
