Oppo expands its A7 Pro Max to European markets, emphasising longevity with a massive 10,000mAh battery and top-tier display features, marking a shift in mid-range handset priorities.
Oppo has brought the A7 Pro Max to markets beyond China, positioning it as a mid-range handset with an unusually large battery and a specification list that leans more towards endurance than outright premium styling. According to reports from Gadgets 360 and Notebookcheck, the phone is already available for pre-order in Europe, with sales due to begin on 1 October at €599, or about 30,790 hryvnias. Oppo has also indicated that the model has already appeared in China.
The device centres on a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2,772 x 1,272 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, according to Oppo’s published specifications. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip and, in the configuration highlighted for Europe, pairs 6GB of RAM with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Oppo’s own spec sheet also shows broader memory and storage options in other markets, ranging from 8GB to 12GB of RAM and from 128GB to 512GB of storage.
Its main selling point is the 10,000mAh battery, which Oppo says supports 80W wired charging and 6.5W reverse wired charging. Notebookcheck described the A7 Pro Max as Oppo’s first phone with a battery of that size, while Techoper said the company is using its Glacier Battery design to keep the chassis from becoming excessively bulky. For buyers who prioritise battery life over slimness, that is likely to be the phone’s defining feature.
Camera hardware is similarly straightforward. Oppo lists a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 2-megapixel monochrome camera and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus. The phone runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 and includes dual-SIM support, eSIM, an in-display fingerprint reader, a customisable rear notification light and dust- and water-resistance ratings of IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.
