Viltrox introduces four lightweight, affordable full-frame autofocus prime lenses for L-Mount cameras, broadening the system’s lens options and appealing to photographers seeking portability and value.
Viltrox has added four full-frame autofocus primes to L-Mount, extending its Air series to Leica and Panasonic cameras for the first time. The launch covers 14mm, 20mm, 40mm and 50mm focal lengths, with the company pitching the range under the slogan “Carry Less, Capture More”. The lenses were previewed at IBC 2026 and are now on sale, giving L-Mount users a low-cost option in a part of the market that has often been served by heavier or pricier glass.
The new line-up is built around portability. According to Viltrox’s specifications, the lenses weigh between 159g and 205g, and all four use autofocus. The 14mm F4.0 and 20mm F2.8 are aimed at wider fields of view for landscapes, architecture and video work, while the 40mm F2.5 and 50mm F2.0 are pitched at general shooting, street photography and portraits. Viltrox says each lens includes ED, HR and aspherical elements to help control aberrations and preserve sharpness.
Price is a central part of the offering. Viltrox lists the 20mm F2.8 at $168, the 40mm F2.5 at $176, and both the 14mm F4.0 and 50mm F2.0 at $199. The company says the lenses are available through its own store and Amazon. That makes the Air series one of the cheaper autofocus routes into L-Mount, a system that includes bodies from Leica and Panasonic and has been gradually broadening its lens choices.
The release also follows earlier teasing at IBC 2026, which suggested Viltrox was preparing several new lenses for the mount. For L-Mount users, the practical significance is not only the addition of four focal lengths, but the arrival of a matching compact set designed around the same size-and-cost brief. Whether the lenses feel as polished in hand as more expensive alternatives remains to be seen, but on paper they give the system a useful boost in accessible, lightweight options.
