Oppo expands A7 Pro Max 5G globally with massive battery and mid-range specs

Oppo has launched its endurance-focused A7 Pro Max 5G beyond China, bringing a large-battery mid-range phone to Austria, Malaysia, and Thailand, showcasing innovative silicon-carbon battery technology and international availability.

OPPO has expanded the A7 Pro Max 5G beyond China, bringing the mid-range handset to Austria, Malaysia and Thailand after its initial debut in August 2026. The move extends a model built around endurance, with the company positioning it as one of the largest-battery phones in its class.

According to OPPO’s specification page, the phone uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 2772×1272 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, built on a 4nm process, and is offered with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device’s main selling point is its 10,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired charging and 27W reverse charging, allowing it to top up other devices.

The camera system is straightforward. OPPO lists a 50-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation, paired with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, plus a 50-megapixel front camera. Video capture on both front and rear cameras is limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second. The phone also carries an in-display fingerprint reader, NFC, IP69K-rated protection against dust and water, and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Gizmochina reported that the A7 Pro Max was first introduced in China in August and described it as the first phone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform. The same report said OPPO is using silicon-carbon battery technology to fit the large cell into a slim body. In Austria, the handset is listed at €599 for a 6GB/256GB configuration, while Malaysia and Thailand get an 8GB/256GB version priced at RM2,299 and 19,999 baht respectively. Available colours include Lunar Black and Surfing Blue.
