Apple’s comparison between the iPhone 18 Pro range and the first foldable iPhone Duo is, at heart, a choice between refinement and novelty. According to MacRumors, both devices sit at the top of Apple’s 2026 line-up and share the same A20 Pro processor, along with a premium Super Retina XDR OLED display, ProMotion at 120Hz, Ceramic Shield 2, IP68 resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and satellite connectivity. That common foundation means either model will feel fast and fully featured. The real difference lies in what each handset is designed to prioritise.
MacRumors says the A20 Pro is Apple’s first 2-nanometre smartphone chip, with a six-core CPU, a redesigned seven-core GPU and neural accelerators built into the graphics hardware.
