Honor introduces the Watch 6 Pro in China, emphasising health-focused features like continuous blood pressure, glucose monitoring, and emergency alerts in a stylish, durable design, marking a shift towards wellness-centric wearable technology.
Honor has added a health-focused model to its Watch 6 line-up, unveiling the Watch 6 Pro in China with a stronger emphasis on monitoring than on battery life. The company is positioning the device as a more advanced option for users who want a smartwatch centred on wellness features and emergency alerts rather than a longer-lasting general-purpose wearable.
The Watch 6 Pro uses a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a claimed peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Its stainless-steel case measures 46.3 x 46.3 x 11.6mm, and Honor is also offering versions with a two-tone ceramic finish, which the company says is more durable than painted coatings. Notebookcheck reported that the watch is being sold in five design variants.
Health tracking is the main story. Honor says the watch supports continuous heart rate variability monitoring, blood pressure tracking through its Blood Pressure 2.0 system, and continuous glucose monitoring when paired with Sinocare’s CGM system and a separate app. The watch also includes fall detection, crash detection and an alert function that can send a distress signal if no pulse is detected. At the same time, Honor warns that the Watch 6 Pro is not a medical device and should not be treated as a substitute for professional equipment or care.
The device also includes Honor Polaris positioning, which uses dual-frequency, three-antenna satellite tracking designed to improve signal stability in dense urban areas. The company says the watch can keep location tracking running for up to 21 hours continuously, while third-party reporting indicates battery life can stretch to around four days with all health functions active or as long as 18 days in a maximum endurance mode. Honor is also selling the watch in China from 1,699 yuan, or about 220 euros, with pre-orders already open. It supports trail running, as well as specialist modes for badminton and football.
