Sonos has launched its latest audio products in Malaysia, introducing the Beam Ultra soundbar and Ace Ultra headphones, featuring AI controls, improved connectivity, and sustainable design, with availability from September 29.
Sonos has brought its latest home audio line-up to Malaysia, led by the Beam Ultra soundbar and the Ace Ultra headphones, alongside Sonos 27 system software and a redesigned mobile app. According to SoyaCincau, the launch also introduces new AI-based controls and a tighter link between the company’s speakers, television sound and personal listening products.
The Beam Ultra is priced at RM4,199, while the Ace Ultra costs RM2,299. Pre-orders are open through the Sonos Concept Store by TC Acoustic at The Starhill KL, the official TC Acoustic website and the Sonos Malaysia store on Lazada. Physical retail availability begins on 29 September 2026.
Sonos positions the Beam Ultra as a compact soundbar capable of 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos playback. Its acoustic system uses nine Class D amplifiers, five tweeters and four low-profile woofers, with upward-firing drivers intended to create height effects in films and television. Sonos says the soundbar also supports AI Speech Enhancement with multiple levels for clearer dialogue, while a Night Sound mode is designed for quieter late-night viewing. It can be paired with a Sonos Sub and other compatible speakers for a larger surround setup, with automatic Trueplay tuning available on both iOS and Android.
The hardware specification is broad for the size of the unit, with HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and Apple AirPlay 2 among the connectivity options. Sonos says the Beam Ultra is made with 24 per cent recycled materials and uses 25 per cent less energy when idle than the previous Beam. It will be sold in matte black and white finishes. The Ace Ultra, meanwhile, is Sonos’ new flagship over-ear model, built around custom 40mm drivers and supported by Qualcomm aptX Lossless, spatial audio and Dolby Atmos playback. A ten-microphone array powers Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, which Sonos says reduces low-frequency noise more effectively than the original Ace. Battery life is rated at up to 35 hours with noise cancellation on, while a three-minute USB-C charge is said to provide up to three hours of listening time.
The headphones also add a direct connection to Sonos home audio systems through built-in Wi-Fi hardware. A Content Key on the right ear cup lets users move television sound from a Sonos soundbar to the headphones and back again without relying on a phone being nearby. Sonos 27 is the software layer behind the new products, and the company says it introduces AI functions through Sonos 27mcp, based on the open Model Context Protocol standard. The refreshed mobile app for iOS and Android adds Home, System and Search tabs, gesture controls and, on iPhone, lock screen widgets, Dynamic Island playback controls and a virtual volume dial. It also supports custom one-tap presets, plus voice control through Siri and Apple Shortcuts.
