Akko launches high-spec Echo TAN8 Master Blue wireless gaming mouse with carbon-fibre shell in Osaka

Akko’s new Echo TAN8 Master Blue wireless gaming mouse features a lightweight carbon-fibre composite shell, high DPI support, and long battery life, targeting competitive gamers in Japan. PC Wands also showcases specialised accessories, including a noise-reducing keyboard mat and an exclusive glass mousepad scheduled for 2027 release.

At PC Wands in Osaka’s Nipponbashi district, staff member Kazuya Matsuyama has recommended Akko’s Echo TAN8 Master Blue, a wireless gaming mouse built around a carbon-fibre composite shell and positioned as a high-spec option for players who want advanced hardware without a premium price tag. According to ASCII.jp, the model is aimed at medium to large hands and uses a symmetrical shape with two side buttons placed for the right thumb. It measures 124.3 x 63.7 x 40.5mm and weighs about 55g, which puts it in the lightweight category despite its larger frame.

The mouse pairs a PixArt PAW3955 sensor with a Nordic 54L15 MCU, supporting up to 40,000 DPI and, when overclocked, 65,000 DPI. It also offers a maximum 8,000Hz polling rate, with both wired USB and 2.4GHz wireless modes able to take advantage of that higher reporting speed. Omron optical switches are used for the buttons. Official product information from Akko confirms the 300mAh battery and quotes wireless endurance of up to 220 hours at 1,000Hz and 28 hours at 8,000Hz. The same specification sheet lists a retail price of ¥15,980.

Matsuyama said the combination of size, weight and specification makes the Echo TAN8 Master Blue attractive value for money, particularly for users who want current-generation components in a mouse that remains relatively easy to handle. The carbon-fibre composite shell is also vented to reduce weight and improve airflow, while retaining a firm feel in the hand. In practical terms, that means the mouse is being pitched not simply as a specifications showcase, but as a usable everyday device for competitive play.

PC Wands is also highlighting two accessories. One is the QSPEC Calm keyboard mat, a 60 per cent-sized underlay designed to sit beneath a compact keyboard without interfering with a wrist rest or mouse pad. The official QSPEC product page says the mat measures 320 x 132mm, is 5.5mm thick and combines felt with foam rubber to cut noise and improve typing comfort; ASCII.jp reported a price of ¥2,480. The shop is also showing, ahead of launch, A5’s AIMPAD Numata Zombie!? Edition Glass Mousepad, a collaboration with illustrator Numata Zombie!? that is scheduled for release in late January 2027 and is listed at ¥17,800. According to Matsuyama, PC Wands may be among the few stores currently displaying the item in advance.
