Angelbird cuts $300 from 1TB and 2TB CFexpress v4 cards

Angelbird’s AV PRO SE CFexpress v4 Type B cards are now available for $449.99 and $799.99, bringing high-capacity storage and sustained performance closer to mainstream pricing.

Angelbird’s AV PRO SE CFexpress v4 Type B cards are being sold at a substantial discount, with the 1TB model priced at $449.99 and the 2TB version at $799.99. According to Newsshooter, that amounts to savings of $300 on each capacity, positioning the cards as a lower-cost option for photographers and videographers who need CFexpress performance without paying full launch pricing.

The cards are built around PCIe 4.0 x2 and are rated for maximum read speeds of up to 3,700MB/s. The 1TB version is specified at up to 2,300MB/s write, while the 2TB model is listed at up to 3,500MB/s write. Angelbird says sustained performance is a central part of the design, with sustained read speeds of 3,500MB/s and sustained write speeds of 2,100MB/s, supported by its Stable Stream technology to reduce performance drop-off during long recordings.

B&H’s product listings echo those figures and add context for buyers weighing capacity against workload. The cards are aimed at high-resolution stills, extended burst shooting and 12K-plus raw video capture, which places them in the same performance class as other premium CFexpress Type B options highlighted in 2026 buying guides from Digital Camera World. Those guides note that CFexpress Type B remains the format of choice for professional cameras where sustained throughput matters more than the lower cost of SD media.

Angelbird also markets the cards for use in demanding environments. The company says they are resistant to shock and vibration and are rated for temperatures from 10°F to 162°F. It also offers in-house data recovery, subject to its service terms, and says users must register the product on the Angelbird Personal Service Portal within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the full three-year warranty. For buyers comparing CFexpress cards on value as well as speed, the current discount makes the 1TB and 2TB AV PRO SE models notably more competitive.
