Apple’s refreshed Apple TV 4K pairs an A19 chip with faster graphics, AV1 decoding and a more capable Siri, while doubling as a Home and entertainment hub.
Apple has unveiled a new Apple TV 4K model built around the A19 chip, marking a significant refresh of its set-top box line. According to the announcement reported by Kienthuc, the company is positioning the device as a faster, more capable living-room hub, with sharper graphics, quicker navigation and tighter integration across Apple’s hardware and software ecosystem.
The upgraded box is said to deliver a 50 per cent improvement in CPU performance over the previous generation, alongside graphics that are twice as fast. Apple has also added hardware decoding for the AV1 video format, a move that should help with more efficient streaming and better support for modern video services. In practical terms, that combination points to smoother menus, faster app launches and stronger performance for games and other demanding content on the television screen.
A notable change is the deeper role of Siri. Kienthuc says Apple has brought Apple Intelligence into Siri on tvOS for the first time on this product line, with a full-screen interface designed to make the assistant more context aware and more useful for household entertainment. The new model also includes far-field microphones for hands-free voice control, which should allow users to search for programmes, check weather information or manage connected devices without reaching for the remote.
Apple is also extending the device’s appeal as an audio and smart-home hub. The report says the new Apple TV 4K can be paired with up to four HomePod speakers for surround sound, while Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and Spatial Audio are all part of the pitch. That combination is aimed at turning a living room into a more cinema-like environment, with richer bass, clearer dialogue and wider sound staging.
Beyond streaming and film playback, the device continues to serve as a centre for Apple’s broader services, including Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, video calling through Continuity Camera and personalised screensavers drawn from iCloud photos. The Siri Remote has also been upgraded with Find My support and ultra-wideband location tracking, making it easier to locate if it slips between sofa cushions.
As a home hub, the Apple TV 4K remains tied to Apple Home, Thread and Matter, and the report says it can analyse camera or doorbell video and surface useful alerts on screen. That positions the device not only as a media player but also as a coordination point for connected-home devices. Kienthuc says pricing starts at $299, with pre-orders available now and delivery due from 13 November 2026.
