XREAL 1 Pro+ leads AR glasses for play as RayNeo GT Max targets work

The latest comparisons show a sharper divide between AR glasses for gaming and media, productivity and sustained everyday use, with XREAL and RayNeo pulling ahead of VITURE.

Augmented-reality glasses are moving into a more clearly segmented market, and the latest comparisons suggest that the best choice now depends less on raw specifications than on the intended use case. A recent review by Geeky Gadgets argues that the XREAL 1 Pro+ is the most rounded option for gaming and media, the RayNeo GT Max is better suited to work and reading, and the VITURE Beast trails both on image stability and everyday usability.

On display performance, the XREAL 1 Pro+ appears to set the pace. Windows Central reported that the model reaches 1,200 nits of brightness, up from 700 nits in the earlier version, and adds AI HDR together with a 60Hz 2D-to-3D conversion mode. Android Central said the glasses use dual 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED panels and offer three viewing modes , Standard, Movie and Reading , to tailor the image to different tasks. In practice, that combination makes the device more adaptable for bright environments and mixed entertainment use than many rivals.

The RayNeo GT Max takes a different approach. Tom’s Guide described it as a 1080p micro-OLED product with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 46-degree field of view, 3DoF spatial tracking and quad speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen. Another review by Tom’s Guide said the glasses are notably comfortable over long sessions, helped by prism optics and a lighter 78g design. TechRadar went further, noting that the newer optical layout reduces reflections, expands the field of view and, in compatible content, adds Dolby Vision support. That makes the GT Max a more convincing productivity device than a gaming-focused one.

By contrast, the VITURE Beast appears to lose ground in areas that matter most for sustained use. According to the Geeky Gadgets comparison, it suffers from chromatic aberration, motion blur and weaker outdoor performance, with dimming that does not fully solve the contrast problem. Its audio is also described as merely adequate rather than class-leading. Those limitations reduce its appeal for fast-moving games, text-heavy work or bright outdoor settings, where image stability and clarity are crucial.

The clearest split, then, is between versatility and specialisation. The XREAL 1 Pro+ seems best placed for users who want a strong all-rounder with improved brightness, better HDR handling and smoother 3D conversion. The RayNeo GT Max is the stronger pick for people who value comfort, sharp text rendering and richer audio over gaming extras. The VITURE Beast, meanwhile, looks hardest to recommend where image quality and consistency are important. For buyers weighing AR glasses as a practical replacement for a monitor or portable screen, those distinctions matter more than headline features alone.
