Lenovo’s new 14-inch business laptop combines a 120Hz OLED display, 65Wh battery and Wi-Fi 7 with an ultraportable 1.06kg aluminium design.
Lenovo has quietly expanded its ThinkBook line-up in China with the ThinkBook X AI 2027, a 14-inch business notebook built around Intel’s third-generation Core “Wildcat Lake” platform. IT Home said the machine is already listed on Chinese e-commerce platforms, while Notebookcheck reported that the design appears to track Lenovo’s global ThinkBook 14x family, with a focus on portability and a premium OLED panel.
The chassis is made from machined aluminium and combines a 65Wh battery with a quoted weight of about 1.06kg and a thickness of 12.9mm. Lenovo has paired that hardware with a 1.5mm travel backlit keyboard, a large glass touchpad, an FHD infrared facial-recognition camera, a fingerprint reader built into the power button and Dolby Atmos audio. The overall specification places it firmly in the ultraportable segment, but with the sort of battery capacity usually reserved for larger machines.
Display hardware is one of the main selling points. The ThinkBook X AI 2027 uses a 2880 x 1880 OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of typical brightness and a quoted 1,100 nits peak, plus full DCI-P3 colour coverage. Connectivity is also strong for a thin-and-light laptop: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB-C ports rated at 20Gbps, two USB-A ports at 5Gbps, HDMI 2.1 using TMDS signalling and a 3.5mm audio socket are all included. Notebookcheck added that the global ThinkBook 14x variant is expected to offer dual M.2 SSD slots, underlining Lenovo’s push to make the platform more flexible than many rivals in this class.
According to IT Home and the Chinese listing cited by tech.ifeng, the ThinkBook X AI 2027 will go on sale on 20 October at 10:00. Lenovo is offering five colour options, although the initial listing is only for Starry White. Pricing starts at 7,999 yuan for a Core 5 315 configuration with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage, rising to 11,999 yuan for a Core 7 350 model with 32GB of memory and 1TB of storage. The positioning suggests Lenovo is using the new model as a higher-end, battery-heavy alternative to the standard ThinkBook 14x formula, rather than as a wholesale redesign.
