The OPPO K14 Plus 5G undercuts Nothing’s Phone (4b) 5G while offering a larger battery, faster charging and a tougher build; Nothing counters with cleaner software, distinctive design and an ultra-wide camera.
OPPO’s K14 Plus 5G and Nothing’s Phone (4b) 5G sit in the same broad price bracket, but they are tuned for different buyers. According to Business Today, the OPPO model is pitched as the stronger value choice for people who want the biggest battery, faster charging and a higher refresh-rate display, while Nothing leans on design, a cleaner software experience and an ultra-wide camera for users who care more about imaging flexibility. The gap between the two is not especially large on price, but the feature split is clear.
On paper, OPPO has the more aggressive hardware package. GSM Arena lists the K14 Plus 5G with a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel at 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 Max chipset. It also carries an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 16-megapixel front camera and Android 16 with ColorOS 16.5. The handset is also rated IP68 and IP69K for dust and water resistance, which gives it a clear durability advantage over many mid-range rivals.
Nothing takes a different route. Notebookcheck and GSM Arena say the Phone (4b) 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5,200mAh battery with 33W charging. Its rear camera setup adds an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens alongside the 50-megapixel main sensor, which gives it more versatility than OPPO’s simpler dual-camera arrangement. It also runs Nothing OS 4.1 on Android 16 and keeps the brand’s familiar Glyph Bar styling, which remains a major part of its appeal.
Pricing narrows the contest. Business Today says the OPPO K14 Plus 5G starts at ₹29,999 in India for the 6GB/128GB version, rising to ₹32,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹35,999 for 8GB/256GB. The Nothing Phone (4b) 5G is listed at about ₹34,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹38,999 for 8GB/256GB, although retail pricing can vary. That leaves OPPO with the lower entry point and the stronger battery and charging figures, while Nothing asks buyers to pay a little more for its design language and extra camera lens.
For most shoppers weighing practical value, OPPO appears to offer the more complete specification sheet. Its larger battery, faster charging, higher refresh rate and tougher ingress protection make it the more obvious endurance-focused choice. Nothing still has an argument for users who prefer its industrial design and want an ultra-wide camera, but in this comparison the best value depends on whether battery life or photographic flexibility matters more.
