The TAP-B115UC-2BK mounts to desks up to 4cm thick, combining three AC outlets, 65W USB-C Power Delivery and flexible cable positioning without permanent installation.
A desk crowded with laptops, chargers and peripherals can quickly run out of power points, turning a simple recharge into a minor disruption. Sanwa Supply’s TAP-B115UC-2BK is designed to reduce that friction by fixing a power strip to the edge of a desk, bringing sockets and USB charging within easy reach. According to the company’s product information, it combines three AC outlets with USB-C charging and is intended for tidy, everyday use at a workstation.
The main appeal is the clamp mount. The unit attaches to desk tops up to about 4cm thick without tools, so it can be fitted or repositioned without leaving adhesive marks or permanent hardware behind. Its body can also be turned in four directions, which makes it easier to route cables cleanly around a monitor stand, keyboard tray or other desk furniture. The 2-metre cable adds extra reach for rooms where the wall socket is not directly beside the desk.
Sanwa says the USB side is built for modern desktop gear. The TAP-B115UC-2BK offers two USB-C ports with up to 65W USB Power Delivery, while its total layout aims to keep larger plugs from colliding across the AC outlets. That makes it suitable for charging a typical notebook, smartphone and accessories at the same time, even if it is not intended for the highest-powered laptops that demand 100W or more. The company also lists dust shutters and insulation caps among the safety features.
A further advantage is that the strip can be removed from the clamp and used as a conventional tabletop unit. That gives it some flexibility if a workspace is rearranged or if the user wants to move the power source elsewhere. At ¥15,180 including tax, it sits above a basic multi-plug extension lead, but its combination of mounting convenience, USB-C charging and cable management makes it a practical option for people trying to simplify a busy desk.
