vivo has launched the V80 Lite 5G in Indonesia, pairing the company’s largest smartphone battery in the country with 44W charging, a 120Hz AMOLED display and up to five years of software updates.
vivo has launched the V80 Lite 5G in Indonesia, positioning the phone around an unusually large 10,000mAh battery and a relatively slim 8.59mm body. The company says the handset is the largest-capacity smartphone it has released in the country so far, and it is also tied to a Guinness World Records claim after a live-streamed endurance test that ran for 32 hours and 37 minutes in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on 11 August 2026.
Despite the battery size, vivo is stressing portability as much as stamina. The V80 Lite 5G supports 44W FlashCharge and reverse charging, allowing it to top up other devices. The company also says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 charging cycles, a figure it equates to roughly seven years of use under laboratory conditions.
The rest of the specification sheet places the phone firmly in the upper mid-range. According to vivo’s Indonesian product page, the V80 Lite 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, paired with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera system centres on a 50-megapixel rear sensor from Sony, while the front camera is a 32-megapixel unit with a 90-degree field of view.
Durability and software support are also part of the pitch. Vivo says the device carries IP68 and IP69 protection, along with a Five-Star Military-Grade durability rating. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and the company says it will receive software updates for up to five years. Vivo is also bundling AI-focused features, including AI Erase, Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
In Indonesia, the V80 Lite 5G comes in two memory variants. The 6GB-plus-128GB model is priced at Rp6,799,000 during the launch promotion, while the 6GB-plus-256GB version costs Rp7,499,000 in the same period. After the promotional window, Carisinyal reports that the standard prices rise to Rp7,299,000 and Rp7,999,000 respectively. Vivo says both versions support Extended RAM, taking the combined virtual and physical memory ceiling to 18GB. The company has also attached launch incentives, including a Rp500,000 discount for purchases between 22 October and 2 November 2026, plus six months of Google Gemini AI Pro, six months of Google One 100GB and a bundled XL SIM package with data allowances of up to 560GB over a year, subject to programme terms.
