LG’s 2026 gram laptops bring offline AI to Italy, starting at €1,099

LG’s latest gram range launches in Italy with four lightweight laptops, local AI tools and prices reaching €2,599 for the 17-inch gram Pro.

LG has brought its 2026 gram laptop range to Italy, extending a long-running formula built around low weight, large screens and enough performance for work on the move. The line-up now covers four models, with recommended prices starting at €1,099 and rising to €2,599 for the most capable variant. According to LG and reports from Italian technology sites, the range is aimed at students, professionals and users who want a thin notebook without giving up recent Intel Core Ultra platforms and AI features.

The main change in this generation is the deeper integration of artificial intelligence. LG says the new machines can search local files, generate summaries and retrieve information even when offline, while higher-end versions add Microsoft Copilot+ support. The company also highlights a dual approach to AI processing, combining on-device functions with cloud-based tools, which should matter to users who want faster responses for common tasks without relying entirely on an internet connection.

At the top of the Italian range sits the LG gram Pro 17Z90UB, a 17-inch touch model with WQXGA resolution, an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS. LG says it is designed for more demanding users, and the broader premium segment also benefits from MIL-STD-810H certification, which indicates resistance to shocks, vibration, dust and extreme temperatures. The company also points to a battery capacity of up to 77Wh, reinforcing the idea that these laptops are meant for full working days away from a socket.

The rest of the range is more varied, but the common thread remains portability. The LG gram 17Z90TL keeps the 17-inch format while weighing just 1.35kg, while the 16ZB90S is positioned as a balance between mobility and productivity. The most affordable model, the gram Book 15U50U, is pitched at students and younger professionals and is described as carrying an Intel Core Ultra 5 chip with Dual AI features. Several Italian reports also note that the line-up is already on sale through major retailers in the country.

LG is also using the new range to push its own cross-device software. The gram Link feature is meant to move files, mirror displays and transfer content between the laptop, smartphones and other compatible devices, offering a proprietary alternative to tools that already exist across the market. In the broader context, the 2026 gram family shows how ultra-light laptops are being repositioned: not just as travel-friendly machines, but as systems that increasingly rely on local AI, cloud services and tighter integration with wider software ecosystems.
