The Poco X8 Pro offers a lower starting price, more powerful internals and 100W charging, while the OnePlus Nord CE 6 counters with a larger battery, 144Hz display and stronger selfie camera.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Poco X8 Pro are aimed at buyers who want more than a basic mid-range handset, but they take different paths to get there. According to ABP Live, the OnePlus model leans on a larger battery and a smoother display, while the Poco handset focuses on stronger raw hardware, faster charging and a lower starting price. GSMArena’s reviews broadly support that split, describing the OnePlus as a well-built phone with balanced day-to-day performance, and the Poco as a more powerful, value-oriented option.
On paper, the performance gap is clear. GSMArena says the Poco X8 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, which should give it an advantage in heavier workloads and app loading. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 instead uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with LPDDR4X memory and UFS 3.1 storage. That combination is still sufficient for mainstream use, but GSMArena notes that it sits behind some rivals when graphics-heavy tasks are involved.
The display story is more nuanced. The OnePlus offers a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and slightly higher peak brightness, which should make scrolling feel especially fluid. The Poco counters with a smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, a 120Hz refresh rate and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and 12-bit colour. In practical terms, OnePlus appears to prioritise motion smoothness, while Poco puts more emphasis on colour depth and video playback features.
Battery and charging are another point of contrast. ABP Live says the Nord CE 6 carries an 8,000mAh battery and 80W charging, while GSMArena’s review confirms that large cell size and adds that the phone also supports bypass charging, which is designed to reduce heat during gaming or other sustained use. The Poco X8 Pro has a smaller 6,500mAh battery, but GSMArena reports 100W wired charging and a full charge in about 41 minutes, which gives it the advantage for users who value speed over outright capacity.
Camera hardware also points to different priorities. According to ABP Live and GSMArena, the Poco X8 Pro uses a 50MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens and can record 4K video at 60fps on the rear camera. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 also has a 50MP main camera, but its secondary rear sensor is only 2MP and rear video tops out at 4K at 30fps. OnePlus does, however, have the stronger front camera on paper, with a 32MP selfie unit and 4K recording support, whereas GSMArena says the Poco’s 20MP front camera is limited to 1080p capture.
Pricing may be the deciding factor for many buyers. ABP Live reports that the OnePlus Nord CE 6 starts at Rs 35,999 for the 8GB and 128GB variant, while the Poco X8 Pro begins at Rs 32,999. Both phones run Android 16, but with different software layers: OxygenOS on the OnePlus and HyperOS on the Poco. Taken together, the Poco X8 Pro looks like the stronger all-round specification sheet for the money, while the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is the more distinctive choice for buyers who care most about battery size, display smoothness and front-camera performance.
