Adobe integrates over 70 creative tools into ChatGPT for seamless workflows

Adobe launches a new ChatGPT app that embeds more than 70 creative and productivity tools, aiming to simplify professional workflows and expand AI-assisted design and editing capabilities within a familiar AI interface.

Adobe has rolled out a new ChatGPT app that brings more than 70 creative and productivity tools into OpenAI’s chatbot, giving users access to software such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Express, Acrobat Pro and Firefly without leaving the conversation. The company says the move is designed to place professional creative workflows inside a familiar AI interface, making it easier for designers, video editors and marketers to move from idea to execution.

According to Adobe, the app combines three ChatGPT integrations introduced late last year for Photoshop, Express and Acrobat Pro, while expanding the list of available tools across image editing, video production, graphics, PDF work and asset management. Forest Key, vice president of Adobe Firefly and agentic AI, said the company wants its tools to be available “wherever people work” and sees ChatGPT as a natural entry point for hundreds of millions of users.

The integration lets users start a ChatGPT chat, type @Adobe and select the app, then work as a guest or sign in to an Adobe account for deeper access. Adobe says the system can handle tasks such as batch-editing photos from plain-language instructions, adjusting light and colour, removing or adding objects, resizing images and reformatting landscape video for vertical platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. It also turns ChatGPT into a search tool for Creative Cloud libraries, allowing users to find assets by style, theme or mood before opening them in Adobe apps.

The launch comes amid a wider push by Adobe to weave AI assistance into its software stack. In June, the company announced a broader expansion of its creative agent across Firefly and Creative Cloud, including AI assistants in apps such as Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io. That follows a broader industry trend: Anthropic has also linked Claude with Adobe tools, while recent reporting from TechRadar and PCWorld has described Adobe’s ChatGPT integrations as a way to make advanced creative features easier to use for non-specialists as well as professionals.
