Samsung opens pre-order bookings for its latest foldable smartphones, featuring launch-week promotions that incentivise trade-ins and offer significant savings across the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Ultra, and Z Flip 8 models, marking a major push in the premium foldable market.
Samsung has opened first-sale bookings for its new foldables, with launch-week promotions designed to push buyers towards trading in older devices rather than paying full price. The company’s latest line-up includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 8, marking the first time Samsung has introduced three foldable phones together. According to the company’s India pricing, the sale begins on August 7 and includes instant cashback, exchange bonuses and straight discounts of as much as ₹10,000.
The most expensive model, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, starts at ₹2,04,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, although Samsung is listing a ₹5,000 reduction on its official site. The 12GB and 512GB variant is priced at ₹2,24,999, while the top-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage is set at ₹2,64,999. Samsung says customers who trade in an eligible handset can save as much as ₹1.05 lakh, depending on the device and exchange value.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is pitched as the more pocket-friendly option in the Fold range, despite its large display. Samsung has priced the entry model at ₹1,84,999, with a ₹5,000 discount bringing it down to ₹1,79,999. The 12GB and 512GB version is listed at ₹1,99,999 after the same reduction, while the 16GB and 1TB model comes to ₹2,39,999. Samsung is again highlighting exchange savings of up to ₹1.05 lakh for customers handing over an older phone.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the least expensive of the trio, with the base 12GB and 256GB model priced at ₹1,34,999 before a ₹10,000 cut brings it to ₹1,24,999. The 12GB and 512GB version is listed at ₹1,54,999, or ₹1,44,999 after the launch offer. Samsung says trade-ins can reduce the effective price further, with savings of up to ₹62,000. In other markets, Samsung and carriers are also promoting aggressive preorder bundles and trade-in deals, underscoring how central incentives have become to premium foldable launches.
