Lava’s Play Ultra is being pitched as a low-cost 5G handset for buyers who want an AMOLED screen, a recent Android build and decent everyday performance without moving into the mid-range bracket. The phone is currently listed at ₹15,998, with EMI plans starting at ₹791 a month through an Axis Bank credit card, which keeps it within reach for budget-conscious buyers. At launch, the device debuted in India at a lower entry price for the 6GB model, but the current offer still leaves it positioned as one of the more feature-rich options around the ₹16,000 mark.
The hardware is the main draw. The Play Ultra uses a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, paired with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chip.
