Lenovo confirms the release of its innovative ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist, featuring a motorised, auto-rotating OLED display and AI-enabled automation, set to launch in June 2026.
Lenovo has moved its most unusual business laptop from concept into a listed product, confirming that the ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist is real and not just a showpiece. The 14-inch machine is built around a motorised hinge that can turn the screen towards the user, a design Lenovo first displayed as a concept and later promoted again at CES 2026. According to Lenovo’s own product information, the laptop is now entered in its PSREF database, which is usually a strong sign that a device is nearing market release.
The headline feature is its dual-axis display system. Lenovo says the panel can rotate automatically to face the user, follow movement using face tracking and switch between laptop, tablet and presentation modes without manual adjustment. The company also claims the lid can open on a double tap and close itself when the machine powers down. Notebookcheck reported that the system is paired with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display and a 10-megapixel camera, while Gizmochina said the hinge can respond to voice commands as part of the broader automation package.
Under the chassis, Lenovo is pairing the model with Intel’s Panther Lake Core Ultra 300-series processors and Copilot+ PC support. The machine can be configured with a Core Ultra 5 325 or the more powerful Core Ultra X7 358H, according to the information Lenovo has released. TechRadar said higher-end versions include up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Atmos speakers and a 75Wh battery, with the laptop weighing about 1.4kg.
Pricing has been inconsistent across early reports, but the figure most commonly attached to the launch is $1,649. Lenovo has not yet published a verified retail price in the material now visible in its product database, so any final market cost could still change before sales begin. Notebookcheck says availability is expected in June 2026, while Lenovo’s CES material described the device as part of its next wave of business-focused AI hardware.
