The Samsung HW-B400F soundbar is down to $100 from $140, a 29% cut that makes it a relatively low-cost way to improve television audio. According to a review from Best for Sound, the compact unit is designed for straightforward setup and is aimed at smaller rooms, where clearer dialogue and fuller bass can make a bigger difference than a more elaborate home cinema system. The model includes a wireless subwoofer and side-firing speakers, which should help it deliver more presence than standard built-in TV speakers.
DJI’s Osmo Action 4 standard combo has been reduced to $199 from $299. Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are listed at $200, down from $250. CNET says the workout earbuds use Apple’s H2 chip and are shaped around a secure ear-hook fit that should suit gym use. In its review, CNET’s David Carnoy said, “Thanks to the H2 chip, new microphones and voice accelerometers to help pinpoint your voice, Beats has made some big improvements in the voice department.” The company also says the earbuds work across platforms and support Android fitness and wellness apps with heart-rate monitoring.
