Revise launches an innovative AI-powered document editor prioritising transparent, trackable suggestions and user oversight, transforming how teams draft and review content in real-time.
Revise has launched an AI document editor that the company says is built to make machine-assisted writing more transparent than a conventional plugin-based workflow. Founder Artur Sapek said the product was designed around the idea that AI should work inside the editing engine itself, with users keeping final control over every change. The company said the system presents edits as tracked suggestions rather than replacing text without review.
The platform can be used to brainstorm, draft, research, rewrite, translate and review content in context. Revise says conversations with the AI remain private and that proposed changes appear as visible diffs, which users can accept one by one or in bulk. That approach places it in a growing class of editors that combine drafting and revision in a single workspace. DocuMend and QuillAid, for example, also emphasise reviewable AI suggestions and full user oversight, while p-editor focuses on preserving document structure during language editing.
Revise is also exposing its document-editing functions to outside AI agents through MCP, the Model Context Protocol, with one-click installation available through Claude’s Connectors Directory. The company says the broader aim is to let teams move between drafting and editing without copying text into separate tools. Its feature set includes live collaboration, version history, rich formatting, and import and export support for Word, PDF, HTML and Markdown files.
The service includes a free tier, with paid plans starting at $8 a month for heavier use. Revise says the tool is aimed at writers and teams in fields such as law, journalism, education and routine business administration, where speed matters but auditability remains important. In a market where several newer products now promise AI inside the editor itself, the key differentiator appears to be how clearly each platform shows its work.
