ASUS unveils the ExpertBook Air in China, a remarkably slim and lightweight business laptop featuring a 14-inch OLED display, AI-enhanced processing, and impressive battery life, challenging traditional ultrabooks with its innovative design and performance capabilities.
ASUS has unveiled the ExpertBook Air in China, a slim business laptop aimed at professional users who want portability without giving up premium display hardware or newer AI-oriented silicon. The company says the machine is thinner than Apple’s MacBook Air, while keeping a similar weight, and positions it as a model for office work, mobility and on-device computing tasks.
The laptop centres on a 14-inch OLED panel with a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. ASUS also claims 100% DCI-P3 coverage, anti-glare treatment and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, which should make it suitable for image-sensitive work as well as general productivity. Under the bonnet, the machine uses Intel’s Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 processors, both of which pair a six-core CPU with integrated Xe3 graphics and a dedicated neural engine for local AI workloads, according to Notebookcheck’s coverage.
Despite measuring 10.4mm thick and weighing 1.28kg, the ExpertBook Air includes an active cooling system and a 65Wh battery, with ASUS claiming up to 26 hours of use. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, one USB-A port, two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Pricing in China starts at CNY 5,999, or about $896, for the Core 5 model, rising to CNY 7,499, or roughly $1,120, for the Core 7 version with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. ASUS has not yet given a date for international availability.
