ASUS expands its India Chromebook range with the CX15, featuring Google AI integration, eco-conscious materials, and a competitive price point, targeting students and young professionals.
ASUS has expanded its Chromebook range in India with the CX15, a 15.6-inch model aimed at students, young professionals and first-time laptop buyers. The company says the machine is built for routine cloud-first work such as online classes, video calls, document editing and web browsing, with ChromeOS and Google AI features at the centre of the experience.
The Chromebook CX15 is powered by an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 128GB of eMMC storage, according to ASUS. Its Full HD IPS display has a 300-nit peak brightness and an anti-glare coating, while the 1.59 kg chassis is meant to remain easy to carry. ASUS also claims battery life of up to 12.5 hours, and the laptop ships with a 45W USB Type-C charger.
Security and sustainability are part of the pitch. ASUS says the CX15 includes a Titan C security chip, automatic ChromeOS updates and a physical webcam privacy shutter. The laptop comes in Pure Grey and Fabric Blue finishes and uses recycled materials in its construction. A 180-degree lay-flat hinge, highlighted in reporting on the refreshed Chromebook line, adds a little more flexibility for shared viewing or classroom use.
The more distinctive element is the bundled three-month Google AI Pro membership. ASUS says that package includes access to Gemini across Gmail, Docs, Sheets and NotebookLM, plus 5TB of cloud storage. It also adds Google’s Flow AI video-generation tool, AI editing in Google Photos, Nano Banana and YouTube Premium Lite. For buyers weighing total value rather than just hardware, that bundle is likely to be a major part of the appeal.
ASUS has set the Chromebook CX15 at ₹47,990 in India. It is being sold through the company’s eShop, Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, Reliance Digital and authorised retail partners, with Easy Pay financing from ₹3,999 a month on 0% no-cost EMI plans. The laptop carries a one-year standard warranty and one year of accidental damage protection.
