ASUS introduces a new class of portable laptops built around AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors, offering up to 128GB of unified memory for versatile gaming, content creation, and AI workflows, with devices tailored for mobility and high performance.
ASUS is pushing a new class of portable PCs built around AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors, positioning them as all-in-one machines for gaming, content creation, productivity and on-device artificial intelligence. The pitch is that one laptop should now be able to handle coursework, editing, streaming and AI tools without forcing users to carry separate devices.
The platform centres on a shared memory design that lets the processor, graphics engine and AI unit draw from the same pool of LPDDR5X memory. ASUS says selected configurations offer up to 128GB of unified memory, alongside quad-channel bandwidth intended to support heavier creative and gaming workloads. In practical terms, that means the system can shift resources more flexibly between graphics, multitasking and local AI processing than in a conventional laptop, where system and video memory are usually split.
ASUS is already applying the hardware to several different product lines. The TUF Gaming A14 pairs the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 with a 14-inch 2.5K display at 165Hz and a 1.48kg chassis, aiming at users who move between lectures, work and play. The ProArt PX13 uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 in a convertible design with up to 128GB of unified memory and a 3K OLED touchscreen, while the limited-edition ROG Flow Z13-KJP, created with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, combines the same chip family with Radeon 8060S graphics in a detachable form factor.
The wider trend is consistent with ASUS’s recent AI PC strategy. At Computex 2024, the company unveiled a broader family of AI-enabled Copilot+ PCs spanning the ProArt, Zenbook, Vivobook and TUF ranges. ASUS has also promoted Ryzen AI-powered gaming systems such as the ROG Zephyrus G16, which uses AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and NVIDIA graphics in a much slimmer body. The latest Ryzen AI Max+ push appears aimed at extending that high-performance approach into thinner devices, while keeping enough local compute for emerging AI features and demanding creative workflows.
Beyond the hardware, ASUS is leaning on service and sales extras in the UAE. The company says eligible buyers can receive one year of ASUS Perfect Warranty coverage, worth up to AED 500, if they register a device within 90 days of purchase. It is also promoting the ASUS eShop UAE, product registration benefits and the ROG Elite Rewards programme as part of the wider ownership package.
