Infinix GT 50 Pro brings 144Hz display and 6,500mAh battery to India on 27 October

Infinix’s latest gaming phone pairs a Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip with liquid cooling, pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers and wireless charging, with expected pricing below Rs 45,000.

Infinix has confirmed that its next GT-series gaming phone will arrive in India on 27 October, with sales set to run through Flipkart. The GT 50 Pro is being positioned as the successor to the GT 30 Pro, and the company says it will ship in two finishes, Black Abyss and Red Blaze, while early pricing expectations place it below Rs 45,000.

The handset’s core specifications suggest a clear focus on gaming performance. Infinix says the GT 50 Pro will use a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, alongside touch response features tuned for games. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, matched with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, and the company claims supported titles can run at up to 144fps in games such as Free Fire Max and Call of Duty: Mobile. The phone also brings a HydroFlow liquid cooling system built around a 7,700 sq mm vapour chamber, a micro-pump and dual piezoelectric ceramic plates, with a rear panel design that exposes the cooling channels. For controls, Infinix has retained pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers with multiple input modes and 10 pressure levels for custom gaming inputs.

Battery capacity is another notable upgrade on paper. The GT 50 Pro is set to carry a 6,500mAh cell with 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, and Infinix says it may support the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, an external magnetic cooling accessory that could be bundled in India. The company’s broader pitch is familiar: a gaming-first device with aggressive thermal design, high-refresh display hardware and accessories intended to sustain performance over longer sessions. Whether that balance is reflected in the final Indian pricing will matter as much as the specifications when the phone goes on sale later this month.
