The Insta360 X6, launched in the Philippines, introduces groundbreaking hardware and AI-driven editing, setting a new standard for consumer 360-degree cameras with higher quality, versatility, and portability.
Insta360 has launched the X6 in the Philippines, positioning it as the company’s most capable 360-degree action camera to date. The new model builds on the X5 with a more compact body, higher frame rates, larger sensors and a stronger emphasis on automated editing, reflecting a push to make 360 capture more practical for everyday creators.
The company says the X6 uses a redesigned chassis that is shorter and wider than before, improving balance on selfie sticks, helmets and vehicle mounts. It also introduces a 2.32-inch OLED touch screen with a 1,200-nit peak brightness, plus an always-on mode and glove-friendly controls for field use.
A major hardware change is the move to a new Sony 1/1.1-inch sensor design, which Insta360 says provides more light intake and better low-light performance. In 360 mode, the camera records up to 8K at 50 frames per second, 6K at 60fps and 4K at 100fps. That is paired with 10-bit colour, I-Log and native Dolby Vision recording, aimed at users who want more flexibility in post-production.
The X6 also arrives with Replaceable Lenses 2.0, which Insta360 says are harder to scratch and cheaper to replace than before. The body is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, with support for underwater use to 20 metres without an additional housing. For deeper diving, an optional case extends that limit to 60 metres while keeping the housing outside the 360 stitch line.
Insta360 has also updated the processing and audio systems. The company says the X6 uses a 4nm octa-core processor with dual imaging chips, a four-microphone array with wind suppression and a dedicated engine microphone for motorcycle use. It also supports two wireless Insta360 microphone transmitters at once. On the software side, the camera runs on Insta360 PanoMind, an AI system trained on more than 10,000 hours of footage that can generate edited highlights on the camera itself while charging.
For users who prefer standard action-camera framing, the X6 can shoot flat video at up to 5K 60fps or 4K 120fps, while InstaFrame 2.0 automatically tracks subjects in 4K without manual reframing. It also captures 120MP 360-degree photos and 42MP single-lens stills. FlowState stabilisation and Horizon Lock remain on board, along with 47GB of usable internal storage, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth and USB 3.0 transfers.
Power comes from a removable 2,600mAh battery, which Insta360 says can deliver up to 140 minutes of continuous 8K 30fps recording. The battery supports 30W PPS charging and can reach 80 per cent in 24 minutes. The company is offering the X6 in the Philippines from PHP 45,390 for the standard bundle, with pricier Essential and Motorcycle bundles also available. Early buyers who activate the camera before September 30, 2026, receive one year of Insta360+ Premium Cloud Storage and three months of Moment Pro AI access, while local purchases include a 90-day free replacement policy and optional FlexiCare coverage.
