iQOO prepares to launch the Z11 in India on August 20, featuring a 6.8-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, the first smartphone in India with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, and major upgrades in camera and battery technology.
iQOO is preparing to bring the Z11 to India on August 20, with the new model positioned as the latest addition to its Z-series range. The company has already started showing off the phone online, giving prospective buyers a first look at its design and colour options ahead of launch.
According to iQOO’s own teasers, the Z11 will use a 6.8-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The screen is also said to support a 2,000 nits high-brightness mode and 3,000 nits local peak brightness, which should help visibility in strong sunlight. The front camera sits in a punch-hole cut-out, while iQOO says the display will include Origin Island and eye-care features.
The rear design centres on what the company calls a Skyline Camera Module, a horizontal pill-shaped unit with two lenses and a ring-shaped LED flash. iQOO has also confirmed Aurora Green and Celestial Blue as the launch colours. The launch will be notable for another reason: the Z11 is set to become the first smartphone in India powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. iQOO says the chip can score more than 1.2 million points on AnTuTu, pointing to a performance-led pitch.
Several other details remain unconfirmed, but leaks cited by Indian and tech-focused outlets suggest a large battery in the 7,000mAh to 8,000mAh range, 90W charging, a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 32-megapixel front camera. The phone is also tipped to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. If pricing lands below Rs 40,000, as expected, the Z11 would enter a crowded upper mid-range segment where performance, battery life and display quality are likely to matter most.
