PiTeam launches PiLY, a minimalist wristband that combines health tracking with voice notes, emphasising distraction-free fitness and instant transcription without a display, now crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
PiTeam has introduced PiLY, a screen-free wristband that combines fitness tracking with voice recording and artificial intelligence. The device is aimed at users who want health data and quick note-taking without the distraction of a display, and PiTeam is now funding production through Kickstarter.
The band measures heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, blood pressure, sleep and stress, while also tracking activity across more than 180 sports and exercises. For running and cycling, it uses the phone’s GPS to map routes. The companion app works on Android and iPhone and syncs with Apple Health and Google Health Connect, allowing users to keep their metrics in one place.
Physically, PiLY is built around a stainless steel case and interchangeable nylon straps. PiTeam says the band weighs 16 grams, which should make it easy to wear all day. The company also claims a two-week battery life, a full recharge in about an hour and IP67 resistance against dust, rain and splashes, although it is not intended for pool use.
The most distinctive feature is its voice recorder. A single button starts recording, and the device stores up to 10 hours of audio in 1GB of internal memory. After transfer to the app, PiTeam says the system transcribes speech in more than 120 languages and can turn recordings into plain text, structured meeting notes, to-do lists or mind maps.
PiTeam says the recordings are encrypted and are not retained, shared with third parties or used to train external AI models. The company also says no subscription or cloud account is required to use the recording function, which sets PiLY apart from many AI-assisted wearables.
On Kickstarter, the band is being offered at $99, with a planned retail price of $199. PiTeam expects first shipments to backers in February 2027 if production stays on schedule.
