The Poco M8 Power enters India’s competitive mid-range smartphone market, offering strong battery life and display features that could appeal to endurance-focused buyers, amid stiff competition from Vivo T5x 5G and OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite.
Poco’s newly launched M8 Power has entered India’s crowded mid-range smartphone segment, where it is being pitched against the Vivo T5x 5G and OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite. A comparison published by TV9 Hindi puts all three in a similar price band, but their hardware choices differ sharply enough to matter for buyers weighing battery life, display quality and camera flexibility.
According to the TV9 Hindi comparison, the Poco M8 Power starts at ₹24,999 for the 6GB plus 128GB model and rises to ₹27,999 for the 8GB plus 128GB version. Vivo’s T5x 5G is priced at ₹24,999 for 6GB plus 128GB, ₹27,999 for 8GB plus 128GB and ₹30,999 for 8GB plus 256GB. OnePlus positions the Nord CE6 Lite slightly higher at ₹25,999 for 6GB plus 128GB, ₹27,999 for 8GB plus 128GB and ₹30,999 for 8GB plus 256GB.
The display segment shows three different priorities. TV9 Hindi says the Poco uses a 6.83-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate and peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Vivo’s T5x 5G, which Gadgets 360 and Business Standard describe as using a 6.76-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, also supports 120Hz but tops out at 1,200 nits. OnePlus is the outlier with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display and a 144Hz refresh rate, though its peak brightness is lower at 680 nits.
On performance, the handsets are built around different chipsets rather than one clear class leader. The Poco M8 Power uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, while the Vivo T5x 5G runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Turbo. OnePlus equips the Nord CE6 Lite with the Dimensity 7400 Apex. All three ship with Android 16-based software skins, including Xiaomi HyperOS 3 on Poco, OriginOS 6 on Vivo and OxygenOS 16 on OnePlus, according to the material provided.
Battery capacity is where Poco appears strongest on paper. TV9 Hindi says the M8 Power carries an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Livemint reported that Poco had highlighted the same battery size at launch and said it could deliver up to three days of use. Vivo’s T5x 5G has a 7,200mAh battery with 44W charging, according to Gadgets 360 and Business Standard, while OnePlus packs in a 7,000mAh cell with 45W SUPERVOOC charging. In camera terms, Vivo also stands out with a 32MP selfie camera, compared with 8MP front cameras on the Poco and OnePlus models.
For most buyers, the choice comes down to trade-offs rather than a single winner. Poco looks strongest for battery life and display technology. Vivo offers the most convincing selfie camera and a large battery. OnePlus leans towards a faster-feeling 144Hz screen and newer connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. On the available specifications alone, the Poco M8 Power looks the most balanced endurance-first option, while the Vivo T5x 5G is the better pick for selfie-focused users and the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite suits those who value screen smoothness and network features more than peak brightness.
