Realme has unveiled a Harry Potter-branded version of its 16 Pro 5G, featuring themed exterior detailing, software customisations, and collector appeal, although hardware remains unchanged.
Realme has put a Harry Potter-branded spin on its 16 Pro 5G, launching the limited-edition model in India and in overseas markets. The special version keeps the same core hardware as the standard phone introduced in January, but adds themed exterior detailing and software customisation aimed squarely at fans of the franchise.
In India, the handset costs Rs. 62,999 for the only available configuration, which combines 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. It will be sold in Magic Brown through Flipkart and selected retail outlets. Realme is also bundling themed packaging, including a Hogwarts-style gift box, an acceptance letter, a train ticket, Hogwarts crest bookmarks, character postcards, a branded case and a phone pin.
The design changes are more extensive than a simple colour swap. Realme has given the phone a brown leather-like finish, an argyle-pattern rear panel intended to evoke wizarding chess, and a Hogwarts crest and Harry Potter wordmark on the back. The camera island is said to be inspired by Hedwig, while the software adds house-themed icons, a Sorting Hat theme store icon, a Platform 9¾ calculator icon and additional wallpapers.
Beneath the themed finish, the hardware remains unchanged. That means a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset, a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel front camera. Realme also lists a 7,000mAh Titan battery with 80W wired charging, plus IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Notebookcheck reported that the wider Harry Potter treatment also includes a light-reactive rear panel that reveals Hogwarts imagery under UV light, underscoring how far the company has pushed the collector appeal of the device.
