At Galaxy Unpacked in London, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8, introducing advanced imaging, AI features, and improved design focusing on versatility and creative potential.
Samsung used London as a showcase for its latest foldables at Galaxy Unpacked in July 2026, unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. The company positioned the devices around imaging and AI features, with the Ultra model described as the first in the Galaxy Z line to carry that branding. Samsung Mobile Press said the Fold8 Ultra combines an 8-inch main display with a 200-megapixel main camera, and the handset measures 4.1mm when unfolded while weighing 215g.
In its tour of the capital, Samsung highlighted how the Fold8 Ultra handles architecture and night scenes. The company said the 200-megapixel camera now includes HDR in that mode, while a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens is designed to fit more of a scene into a single frame. Samsung also said the phone’s Nightography tools are meant to reduce noise in low light, and that the device supports 8K video recording using a new APV codec.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 was presented as the more workmanlike creative model. Samsung showed Dual Recording, which uses the front and rear cameras at the same time to capture both the subject and the person filming, alongside Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for smoother footage during movement. The larger main display is intended to make it easier to review clips, crop them and prepare videos for sharing without moving between devices.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 was framed as the most casual and flexible of the three. Samsung said the handset is the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Flip yet, with Flex Mode for hands-free shooting and FlexWindow on the cover screen for framing selfies. Its 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and AI-powered ProVisual Engine are aimed at sharper self-portraits, while the Camcorder Grip and Zoom Rocker are designed to make handheld video recording feel more natural.
