Sony has launched its 115-inch BRAVIA 9 II in the Philippines, pairing True RGB LED technology with 4K HDR, Dolby Atmos and HDMI 2.1 gaming features.
Sony has brought the BRAVIA 9 II to the Philippines, positioning it as a flagship 115-inch television for premium living rooms and home cinema set-ups. According to Sony Philippines, the set uses True RGB technology with separately controlled red, green and blue LEDs, a design intended to improve colour precision and brightness. The company is offering the model through Sony Centres and authorised dealers nationwide, while local pricing has not been publicly disclosed.
The panel is a 4K HDR smart TV with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Sony says the BRAVIA 9 II combines its XR Processor with AI, local dimming and Luminance Booster Pro, alongside support for HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. The TV also includes XR Motion Clarity for handling fast-moving images, while Sony’s Philippine product page highlights Studio Calibrated modes, IMAX Enhanced compatibility and anti-glare treatment for brighter rooms.
Sony has also leaned heavily on audio. The BRAVIA 9 II uses Acoustic Multi-Audio+ with beam tweeters and built-in subwoofers, and it supports Dolby Atmos, DTS and 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. In a separate product description, Sony says Voice Zoom 3 is included to improve dialogue intelligibility, which should be useful for films, sports and television news.
For connectivity, the set provides four HDMI ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port and Wi-Fi 6E. Sony lists HDMI 2.1 features such as 4K at 120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and Source-Based Tone Mapping, making the television more relevant for current console gaming hardware. It runs Google TV and offers 32GB of onboard storage, plus Chromecast built in, Apple AirPlay and Apple HomeKit support. YugaTech reported that the BRAVIA 9 II was unveiled alongside the smaller BRAVIA 7 II, with an international starting price of $3,599 for the larger model.
