vivo V80 Lite 5G packs a 10,000mAh battery into an 8.59mm frame

vivo’s latest Indonesian launch pairs a 10,000mAh battery with a slim 8.59mm chassis, AMOLED display and IP68/69 protection, starting at Rp6,799,000.

vivo has expanded its Indonesian line-up with the V80 Lite 5G, a handset that tries to solve one of the sector’s oldest compromises: endurance versus elegance. The phone is built around a 10,000mAh battery, yet vivo says it remains slim enough to fit the V series’ design language. According to the company’s Indonesian website, the model is aimed at users who want long battery life without moving to a bulky device, and it is already being positioned as a mainstream 5G option rather than a niche endurance phone.

The battery is the headline feature, but it is paired with 44W FlashCharge, which should help reduce downtime even if the charging rate is not exceptional for such a large cell. vivo says the chassis measures 8.59mm in thickness, which is notably restrained for a device with this capacity. The phone is offered in Sand Pink, Emerald Green and Dawn Black, giving it a more lifestyle-oriented presentation than many heavy-duty battery phones on the market.

On the front, the V80 Lite 5G uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That combination should appeal to buyers who care about sharper text and smoother scrolling. Under the bonnet sits the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, while vivo’s software layer, OriginOS 6, adds a set of AI tools such as transcript assistance, content creation support and call-related features. The company is also highlighting a 50MP Sony AI main camera and a 32MP front camera for selfie and video use.

Durability is another central part of the pitch. vivo says the phone has Five-Star Military-Grade certification and IP68/69 protection, placing it among the more robust devices in its class for resistance to dust, water and impact. In Indonesia, the 128GB version is priced at Rp6,799,000 and the 256GB model at Rp7,499,000, with pre-orders opened from 22 October 2026, according to the launch details shared by vivo and reported by ANTARA. Some local outlets have listed higher street prices and promotional pre-order offers, suggesting retail pricing may vary by channel and campaign.
