Vivo will launch the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max globally on 27 October 2026, with the range combining Dimensity 9600 Pro performance, large batteries and long-range Zeiss camera hardware.
Vivo is preparing to expand its X500 line beyond China, with the company confirming a global launch for the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max on 27 October 2026. According to Vivo’s official website, the event will begin at 4pm CET and will be streamed through the company’s website and YouTube channel. Pre-orders are due to open the same day, while open sales are expected to start on 5 November in Europe and selected other markets.
The new handsets are aimed squarely at the premium end of the market, and Vivo is leaning heavily on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro platform across both models. Reports from TechnoBaboy and Lowyat.net say the pair also share Vivo and Zeiss camera tuning, IP68 and IP69 resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint readers and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The broader positioning is clear: the X500 Pro series is meant to combine flagship performance with a strong photographic pitch, rather than compete only on raw specifications.
The standard X500 Pro is the smaller and lighter model, with a 6.36-inch AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto unit. The Pro Max stretches to a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED panel and upgrades the zoom hardware substantially, with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and support for a 400mm Zeiss teleconverter kit. That optical accessory, highlighted in reports by Tech Tech Outlook and Tech-ish, is likely to be one of the series’ main differentiators for users who value long-range photography.
Battery life is another dividing line. The X500 Pro is said to carry a 6,510mAh battery, while the Pro Max steps up to 8,000mAh, with both supporting 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Malaysian launch details reported by Lowyat.net indicate that the Pro Max will also be the heavier, more ambitious device in the range, pairing its larger screen and battery with up to 1TB of storage. Vivo’s official registration page suggests the company is also using the launch to push pre-order bonuses and bundle offers, which could help drive early demand in markets where the phones arrive first.
